Best on a flat surface a few feet away — a compound wall, a shutter, the trunk of a large tree. Colour washes look weak on dark or textured surfaces from a distance.
Please note: the plug lead needs a weather-protected socket. The remote is line of sight and will not reach from inside the house through a wall.
